Written by Aloft Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce the selection of Jayangi Wanigasekara as the Director of Human Resources, effective January 8, 2024. Jayangi brings with her over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on Finance and HR. Her journey began as an Accounting Clerk in Sri Lanka in 2010, and she joined Marriott International in 2015 at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah.
During her tenure there, Jayangi held various finance roles until 2018 when she decided to pursue her passion for developing people, transitioning to HR. Since then, she has excelled in HR, progressing through roles such as HR Executive, Assistant HR Manager, and HR Manager at Marriott International.
A certified HR Practitioner with a level 3,5 qualification from CIPD-UK, Jayangi holds degrees in Business Management and Financial Accountancy. Currently, she is pursuing her MSc in Business Psychology.
In her role as Director of HR, Jayangi will leverage her extensive experience to guide and enhance our human resources strategies. We have full confidence that she will excel in this new position, making significant contributions to the ongoing growth and success of Aloft Abu Dhabi.
