Rich in taste and culinary heritage, there’s been a significant amount of influence and adaptation in this cuisine over the years. Bengal’s gastronomical journey traverses many historical eras, right from the Mughal dynasty to the British Raj. With the launch of Kolkata Local the company attempts to recreate age-old recipes of this rich and robust cuisine to bring to patrons a tangible piece of history they can relish!
From sourcing local ingredients to developing recipes to maintain the authenticity of the traditional flavours, the team of culinary experts at Kolkata Local pay close attention to the quality of each component. The use of indigenous spices and roots such as panch phoron, mustard oil and poppy seeds heightens the taste and provides a distinctive flavour to each dish. The brand has left no stone unturned to ensure fresh, hygienic and delicious meals to patrons through constant innovation, experimentation and quality checks.
The extensive menu includes a host of regional vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies like “Mochar Chop”, “Begun Bhaja”, “Bhuna Chingri Roll”, “Chanar Dalna”, “Muri Ghanta Dal”, “Lal Murgi”, “Bhapa Hilsa”, “Bhetki Paturi”, “Fish Kabiraji”, “Bhaja Masala Aloo Dum” which can be accompanied with “Radhaballavi”, “Paratha”, “ Luchis”, “Basanti Pulao” and“Ghee Bhaat” amongst many others. Additionally, customers have the option of creating custom meals by selecting from a wide assortment of Bengali fare.
