Written by Ubud, 2022 – Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is pleased to announce the appointment of Desy Setiawati as Director of Sales & Marketing in early 2022. Desy is poised to lead the Sales and Marketing team of the celebrated ultra-luxury resort in Ubud, Bali.
An energetic and forward-thinking leader, Desy brings over her 14 years of hospitality experience to her new role at the only Ritz-Carlton Reserve collection in Indonesia. Desy will oversee and develop market strategies across business segments, including leisure, corporate group, marketing, and catering sales, and ensure the successful reopening of the resort during the post-pandemic period. She’s an “all hands-on deck” approach to driving full-service hotel recovery.
“It is truly an honor to lead the commercial team at such a highly acclaimed ultra-luxury resort and very excited to bring the new era of hospitality to life with many innovative and exciting plans ahead,” says Desy. “I see a high demand in the area these days and very optimistic to see the business growth will be back even stronger in 2022”, she added.
She previously held several positions such as Associate Director of Events before being promoted to Director of Sales at Bvlgari Resorts Bali when she received several recognitions such as Marriott International`s 1st Quarter Best Result Catering Revenue versus Budget in 2012, Marriott International`s 4th Quarter Best Result Catering Revenue versus Budget 2013 and Marriott International`s RPI Growth, hotel`s with the highest RPI growth versus Budget in Q1 2019. And also with experience in a few more luxury properties including a successful pre-opening team of The St. Regis Bali Resort in 2008 as Events Assistant Sales Manager and Events and Marketing Communication Manager at Alila Villas Uluwatu.
A graduate of the Hotel Administration of Hotel Tourism Institute (STP Bali), Desy is Indonesian-Balinese and fluent in English. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, traveling to unique destinations, and spending time with family.
