With her vast experience, knowledge, and hard work, Salima has received many awards and accolades. These include “Best Employee Awards for achieving yearly targets”, “Management recognition for maintaining staff turnover of 7.7% practiced in Dubai’s hospitality industry”, and “Nominated and shortlisted as Educator of the Year Award in 2010 in Caterer Middle East Awards”.
In 2011, Salima was nominated and shortlisted as “HR Person of the Year” in the Hotelier Middle East Awards. In 2020, Salima was nominated for HR Person of the Year by Hotelier Middle East.
Salima is a CIPD qualified, certified life coach, a certified hospitality trainer (CHT), and a certified trainer of the Accelerated Leadership Development Program (ALDP), and has conducted training programs in the UAE, Africa, and Pakistan respectively.
Today, standing at the helm of the HR department at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai with over 400 colleagues under her oversight, Salima is excited to showcase her efforts in aligning HR strategies with overarching business goals, delivering employee happiness and achievements through training and guidance, implementing health and safety programs, and working alongside the Area Director – Middle East & General Manager to further improve employees’ growth of the brand within the Middle East.
