In this leadership role, Schmid will steer the team and drive business strategies for the expansive complex, comprising 730 rooms and featuring 9 F&B outlets.
Hailing from Austria, Stefan Schmid’s illustrious journey in the international hospitality industry began in the Middle East, where he initially served as the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at the renowned Sheraton Deira. Bringing over two decades of experience in both hospitality and commercials, Schmid offers a wealth of expertise, having provided strategic vision to flagship Hilton properties across China and the Middle East. His tenure with Hilton included key positions and cluster roles, such as Director of Operations and General Manager.
Before joining Al Jaddaf Rotana Complex, Schmid served as the General Manager of Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai, where he played a pivotal role in achieving significant revenue growth. Under his leadership, the hotel maintained the highest industry standards, ensuring both guest and employee satisfaction.
Stefan Schmid is recognized as an international hotelier with a strong background in hospitality, food & beverage, robust business acumen, and effective communication skills. In his new role, he aims to elevate the overall hospitality and dining experience at Al Jaddaf Rotana Complex. Advocating for innovation, Schmid is committed to achieving new heights while aligning with the company’s mission, values, and strategy.

These offerings include a combined 730 rooms, 9 dining options, and additional facilities such as a Professional Football Pitch, Top Spin tennis academy with 6 tennis courts, and 10 paddle courts – all featuring contemporary luxury, stylish decor, and cutting-edge amenities catering to diverse global palates.
