Christopher Bromund joins the culinary team at Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort, bringing over two decades of gastronomic expertise to this idyllic island retreat.
A native of Germany, Bromund studied hospitality and spent three years training as a chef in his home country before moving to the UK to join Marriott. He stayed with the brand for seven years rising through the ranks, working in kitchens in London and Dubai, including Grosvenor House. In 2011, Bromund got the opportunity to work under Michelin-star Chef Adam Newell and he moved to Wellington, New Zealand as Chef de Partie at Zibibbo Restaurant in Wellington. He continued to travel as a chef, taking roles in the Netherlands, Austria before returning to Dubai to become Head Chef at Le Meridien at the end of 2018. He has recently moved to Anantara from Radisson Blu.
During his career, Chef Bromund has led teams catering for up to 30,000 people, managed up to 20 restaurants and developed new menu concepts for brunch and hotel openings. He has worked in some of the world’s finest restaurants and been part of award-winning teams at Marriott and Le Meridien.
