Reflecting on his experiences, Chef Rohit shares a key lesson learned in the industry: “There are no shortcuts. You have to spend time in the kitchen and learn about the ingredients, cooking techniques, time management, trying out different combinations to create things, challenge the so-called normal. Most importantly, never accept mediocre.”
As Executive Sous Chef at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake & Lakeside Chalet, Chef Rohit’s primary responsibilities include ensuring smooth restaurant operations, menu development and execution, maintaining food quality standards, and staff training and development.
Chef Rohit’s management mantra emphasises continual learning and sharing knowledge.
