Written by Marriott International has officially announced a landmark agreement with Oberoi Realty Limited and its subsidiary, Incline Realty Private Limited, marking the introduction of the renowned Marriott Hotels brand in Mumbai. The collaboration also includes the debut of the iconic JW Marriott brand, with the anticipation of the third JW Marriott property in the city. Scheduled to open between 2027 and 2028, the two distinctive hotels, namely the JW Marriott Hotel Thane Garden City and Mumbai Marriott Hotel Sky City, aim to redefine luxury hospitality in Mumbai.
Rajeev Menon, President Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, expressed enthusiasm about this strategic partnership, stating, “With Mumbai going through a substantial phase of real estate development, we are thrilled to work together with Vikas Oberoi and his team at Oberoi Realty Limited to manage these two upcoming properties. This collaboration reinforces Mumbai as a strategically important market where we now have thirteen operating hotels.”
The JW Marriott Hotel Thane Garden City, situated on the north-eastern outskirts of Mumbai, is designed to offer 280 guestrooms inspired by residential interiors. The hotel will boast three dining outlets, a full-service Lobby Lounge, and a Pool Bar, providing guests with a diverse culinary experience. Additional amenities include a 25-meter outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and the signature Spa by JW, making it an ideal destination for both leisure and business travelers.
In Borivali, Mumbai Marriott Hotel Sky City will be strategically located amidst high-end residential and retail developments. The hotel is set to feature 280 spacious guestrooms, three distinctive restaurants, a Bar Lounge, and the brand’s signature Greatroom lobby. The property will also house the exclusive M Club lounge for Elite and Club members, a fitness center, Quan spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and versatile event spaces tailored for collaborations.
