Chalet Hotels Unveils Lakshya – Shaping the Next Generation of Hospitality Leaders

Chalet Hotels Limited, part of K Raheja Corp and a leading owner, developer, and asset manager in India’s premium hospitality segment, has launched ‘Lakshya – Aim. Lead. Achieve.’, a comprehensive 15-month Management Trainee Program designed to nurture and develop future leaders of the hospitality industry.

With the launch of Lakshya, Chalet Hotels reinforces its long-term vision of investing in people, building leadership pipelines, and creating an organisation that is resilient, forward-looking, and anchored in strong values.

A Four-Stage Leadership Journey

Lakshya takes participants through a carefully structured four-stage journey:

  • Uday (Fresh Start) – A deep-dive onboarding phase to align trainees with Chalet’s culture and core values.

  • Anubhav (Experience) – Immersion in hotel operations, where trainees gain hands-on exposure across departments.

  • Pankh (Advanced Learning) – Focused development of leadership, strategic, and analytical skills.

  • Shikhar (Live It) – A capstone phase where trainees lead live projects, working alongside senior leadership teams.

Rotations across different properties and brands within the Chalet portfolio ensure participants experience a broad spectrum of hospitality operations and guest service models.

Dual Specialization for a Competitive Edge

In a pioneering approach, the program offers dual specialization—one major and one minor—allowing participants to gain depth in a core function while also acquiring cross-functional expertise. This positions them as agile, versatile leaders ready to take on complex roles in the hospitality sector.

Leadership Endorsement

Gaurav Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Chalet Hotels, emphasized the program’s strategic importance:

“With Lakshya, we are not just building a training program — we are investing in the next generation of hospitality leaders. This initiative will help us nurture talent that can think strategically, act decisively, and lead with purpose.”

Echoing the same, Mugdha Mahambrey, General Manager – Human Resources, added:

Lakshya reflects our commitment to people development. By creating structured opportunities for learning, mentorship, and growth, we are preparing our talent to drive innovation and excellence in a fast-evolving hospitality landscape.”

Future-Ready Hospitality

By combining real-world assignments, leadership shadowing, corporate exposure, and strategic projects, Lakshya sets a new benchmark for talent development in Indian hospitality. It demonstrates Chalet Hotels’ belief that the strength of its future lies in the leaders it cultivates today.

With Lakshya, Chalet Hotels not only aims to bridge the talent gap in the industry but also to shape leaders who will carry forward its legacy of service, sustainability, and innovation.
