We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Khun Benjamin Paetz as the Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Food & Beverage at SO/ Bangkok, effective from January 22, 2024.
With an extensive 18-year background in the international hotel industry and a wealth of experience working with various luxury hotel chains, Khun Benjamin brings valuable expertise, particularly in the realm of Food and Beverage, to our organization. Prior to joining SO/ Bangkok, his most recent role was as the Executive Assistant Manager overseeing Food & Beverage in a luxury hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. In his new capacity, Khun Benjamin will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading food & beverage and culinary strategies, orchestrating F&B signature events, and enhancing the overall guest experience.
Originating from Hamburg, Germany, Benjamin Paetz is an affable aficionado of fine cuisine. Paetz initiated his professional journey in the food and beverage industry in his hometown in Germany. His exploration of the world of gourmet food and fine wines led him to a vineyard in Waiheke Island, Auckland, New Zealand, where he delved into the intricacies of winemaking for two years. Subsequently, he ventured into Asia, and it was in Bangkok that Paetz found his most enlightening experiences, shaping his understanding of providing top-notch products and services in the culinary industry.
His connection with Indonesia commenced in Jakarta in 2020, and after a brief sojourn in the Maldives, this avid traveler has returned to one of his favorite cities in Asia.
