Nancy Shaker has been appointed as the new Cluster Director of Human Resources at Sheraton Mall of the Emirates Dubai, overseeing Sheraton Mall of Emirates and Aloft Dubai Creek in Dubai, as well as The Westin and Le Méridien City Centre in Bahrain.
With an impressive 19-year career in Human Resources, Nancy brings a wealth of experience gained in both Egypt and the UAE. Her journey commenced in 2003, encompassing various roles in general administration, HR, and training. In 2012, she joined Marriott as a key member of the pre-opening team for the Renaissance Cairo Mirage City.
Having excelled as HR Manager for two years, Nancy transitioned to the UAE, assuming the role of Human Resources and Training Manager at the Marriott Harbour Hotel. Progressing in her career, she took on her first multi-property role at the Marriott Hotel & Marriott Executive Apartments, Al Jaddaf, as Multi-Property Director of Human Resources.
In 2020, Nancy expanded her multi-property role to Cluster Director of Human Resources for six hotels, overseeing properties such as Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Creek, Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai, and the newly opened Element by Westin Al Jaddaf and Courtyard Culture Village. Under her leadership, Element Al Jaddaf achieved a remarkable 100% in the Leadership Index, underscoring her commitment to driving HR initiatives and employee engagement.
Nancy has played a crucial role in the UAE HR and Marriott Business Council UAE, serving as the HR Lead, demonstrating her dedication to fostering collaboration and excellence within the organization.
With her extensive knowledge, diverse experience, and exceptional strengths, Nancy Shaker is poised to be a valuable asset to her new cluster team, overseeing operations across two countries and four hotels.
