Kolkata: With the arrival of the festive month, the spirit of Christmas is in the air. The lighting of the Christmas tree is synonymous with the beginning of holiday season and the festive cheer. JW Marriott Kolkata held its annual tree lighting ceremony on the 3rd of December, 2022 at the JW Lounge. This year, patrons discovered the true fervor of the grand celebration as the property showcased a 20 feet Christmas tree with hues of red, white and green lights, candies and cut-outs of Santa. The joyous evening was filled with cheer, laughter and merriment with live choir performance and festive carols. Adding to the grandiose celebration, patrons delved into a wide range of Christmas specials like, ‘mulled wine’, ‘muffins’, ‘plum cakes’ to name a few.
JW Marriott Kolkata’s general manager, Mr.Sumeet Suri, led the ceremonial affair with an inspiring speech about the true spirit of Christmas, “It was an absolute delight to host the annual tree lighting ceremony with the fabulous guests and the team. This year, we have lit up the stunning tree with cheery holiday music to revel in the Christmas spirit while hoping for a brighter and safer new year”.
