Cake Mixing Ceremony, a tradition that officially marks the onset of the festive cheer and Christmas spirit – Courtyard by Marriott Aravali Resort celebrated their first ever cake mixing ceremony on 30th October 2022
The ceremony started 5:00pm onwards and was hosted at the pool deck at Courtyard by Marriott Aravali Resort. The celebration kicked off with a special welcome note by the General Manager – Mr. Rajneesh Kumar and in attendance were the special resident guests of the resort along with influencers. Executive Chef, Shibendu Ray Chaudhury’s culinary brigade did make a rather special entry to participate in the celebrations. The guests were greeted with Mulled wine and canapés and thereafter chef caps, gloves and special aprons were distributed to all the guests.
Guests, influencers and colleagues rolled up their sleeves and put their hands in the mixing box to make a delicious Christmas cake. An interesting array of fruits including raisins, glazed red cherries, tutti frutti, dates, figs, prunes and nuts like walnuts along with spices such as ground cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon were poured into a huge box. The celebration reached a spirited level when endless bottles of liquors such as whiskey, wine, rum and syrups like golden syrup, honey and vanilla essence were added.
After the traditional cake mixing ceremony, the mixture was put into airtight bags and left to mature until around Christmas, when it will be blended with the cake batter and baked.
Over the years, “cake mixing” has become something of a ritual and is an occasion everyone looks forward to. This year this age old tradition was a special one at Courtyard by Marriott Aravali Resort as it was the first ever Christmas ritual that was being celebrated at the newly opened resort and is sure to have created everlasting memories.
