ITC Grand Chola is proudly celebrating 75 years of Independence and the glorious history of India’s people and culture. In line with the Government of India’s initiative of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, we will be hosting extensive activities at the hotel for guests and fellow associates from 13th to 15th August 2022.
A visual display of the tricolor of the national flag will light up the hotel façade for three days that will evoke a deep sense of patriotism and pride for the nation. The façade will be decked up for the three days that is a symbolic of enriching luxury experiences of responsibility of Guests, Associates, Nation and Mother Earth.

To give back to the community, the hotel has invited few children from a local government school for an ‘Expressions’ artistic initiative where the children will paint, draw, sketch their vision of ‘India in the Future’ bringing their inner artist to the forefront. These art works will be put on display as an exhibition for three days of the celebration.
During the three days our associates will enjoy Independence Day theme food rendezvous during breakfast, lunch, hi tea and dinner, serving more than 1000 meals. On 15th August, 2022, the hotel will hoist the national flag at it’s main porch in the attendance of in-house guests and associates, followed by a sumptuous breakfast. As a part of the celebrations, the associates will be invited to participate in fun engaging and cultural activities which will be held on all the three days.
In line with the Government of India’s initiative of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, the associate accommodations will also hoist the national flag on 15th August morning to commemorate 75 years of independence from the British rule, in 1947. The families of our associates will participate in various thematic cultural and quiz competitions to celebrate and rise to the occasion.
On 15th August, 2022, evening, in line with providing Signature Experiences to our guests, the Sangam Lobby at ITC Grand Chola will come alive with our signature ‘Evening Ritual’, showcasing the elegant classical Indian dance forms of Bharatnatyam of Tamil Nadu Mohiniyattam of Kerala and Kuchpudi of Andhra Pradesh.
