PARIS, FRANCE (July 20, 2022) – The Saint James Paris hotel recently unveiled The Terrace, a new outdoor bar and dining concept helmed by its Michelin-starred chef, Julien Dumas, and set in its private, walled gardens.
The Saint James Paris is the only chateau-hotel surrounded by its own gardens in Paris and The Terrace highlights that peaceful, parklike setting with an outdoor bar and restaurant set on a leafy terrace in and around a Versailles-green gazebo and trellises – a unique setting for a meal in Paris’ central 16th arrondissement.
At The Terrace, Dumas created a seasonal menu of grilled meats, and vegetables from the hotel’s organic garden designed to be fired in front of guests on a planche outdoor grill.
Earlier this year, Dumas was awarded a Michelin star for Bellefeuille, his 9-month-old fine-dining restaurant at the Saint James Paris. Bellefeuille is part of the rebirth of the hotel and private club, which completed a total renovation this spring, including new interiors, gardens, spa and restaurant concepts, all conceived to maximize the hotel’s unique garden setting, and to bring the outdoors in at every opportunity. The terrace was the last piece of the renovation to be completed, and just opened at the beginning of summer 2022.
The Terrace is open to hotel guests and club members for lunch and drinks before 7pm. From 7-11:30pm the bar is open to the public with dinner service available by reservation from 7:30-10pm.
