Alda Mendes has been appointed Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles

Alda Mendes has been appointed as the new Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, located in the south of Mahé island and nestled into the hillside overlooking Petite Anse bay. With 18 years of hospitality experience, Mendes, a native of Portugal, joins her first Four Seasons property in the remote location of Seychelles, where guests come to escape from the everyday.

Like an amphitheatre, the Resort offers luxuriously appointed treetop villas, suites and residences that face the Indian Ocean, the award-winning Le Syel Spa, and culinary experiences including four restaurants and two bars.

With a guest experience focused vision, Mendes is excited for the opportunity to lead the transformation of guests’ journeys. “It is an amazing time to be starting my journey with Four Seasons. The Resort is an iconic establishment in the Seychelles, and around the world, and I am very excited to build on that reputation with such an enthusiastic team,” says Mendes.

Mendes has travelled extensively throughout her career, working her way up in various positions before becoming a resort manager at Six Senses Ibiza. Her time in Ibiza saw her capitalize on empowering women by mentoring and creating opportunities for them. “Due to having to step away from my career for family reasons, I have had to start at the bottom twice. As such, I want to create opportunities for other women who are interested in finding their way around this industry. It gives me such pride to work alongside such powerful, strong-minded women in the Seychelles and I am grateful to be learning from them, too,” says Mendes.

Mendes is fluent in Portuguese and English and holds a postgraduate degree in event management from the London Hotel, Tourism and Event School. As a nature and wellness enthusiast, she is thrilled to experience the natural beauty of the Seychelles as she hikes up some of the many mountains and enjoys a book or session of sunset yoga.
