Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park has announced the appointment of C. Manikandan as Director of Engineering. Bringing with him over 14 years of expertise in leading engineering operations for some of India’s most prestigious hospitality brands, Manikandan will now oversee the engineering functions for this landmark dual-branded complex and convention center.
Manikandan’s career spans key leadership roles, including Director of Engineering at Taj Yeshwantpur and Shangri-La Bengaluru, where he played an integral role in the pre-opening phase. His earlier assignments at Hilton Bengaluru Residences and The Leela Palace further honed his skills in delivering operational excellence.
Recognized for his pioneering approach to sustainable engineering, he has spearheaded initiatives such as IoT-based building management systems, large-scale energy-saving projects, and the commissioning of an in-house water bottling plant—dramatically reducing single-use plastic consumption. These efforts have not only advanced environmental responsibility but also delivered significant cost efficiencies.
In his new role, Manikandan will be responsible for preventive maintenance programs, energy-efficiency projects, and the upkeep of guest and convention center facilities, ensuring world-class standards of safety, sustainability, and guest comfort.
