Atlantis Dubai has announced the promotion of Dean Walsh to Executive Director of Sales, a move that reflects the resort’s ambition to strengthen its global presence across the luxury leisure segment.
Walsh joined Atlantis Dubai in August 2023 as Director of Sales and quickly established himself as a driving force in shaping the property’s commercial strategy. Over the past two years, he has led a 15-member leisure sales team with a focus on the UK, Europe and Australasia, achieving strong revenue growth and notable increases in market share. His leadership and ability to build key partnerships have been instrumental in positioning Atlantis Dubai as a preferred destination for international travelers.
In his new role, Walsh will oversee the strategic direction and execution of global leisure sales across all markets, managing a team of directors and managers dedicated to both domestic and international segments. He will continue to report directly to Kyp Charalambous, Vice President of Sales, who commended the promotion by noting that Walsh’s vision and proven track record make him ideally suited to lead the team into its next phase of expansion.
With nearly two decades of experience in luxury hospitality and tourism, Walsh has held senior roles at some of the world’s most recognized brands including InterContinental, One&Only Resorts, Viceroy, W Hotels and Jumeirah. His career has been defined by consistent success in building high-performing teams, developing strategic partnerships and delivering sustainable revenue growth in competitive markets.
