Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Michael Robinson as General Manager of Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, as the property enters an exciting new phase of multi-million-dollar renovations.
Leading Through Transformation
Robinson takes charge of the iconic Dubai resort at a pivotal moment, with the enhancement programme introducing upgraded accommodations, a dedicated adults-only area, and refreshed dining concepts—strengthening the resort’s positioning in Dubai’s highly competitive luxury hospitality market.
Two Decades of Global Hospitality Experience
With more than 20 years of international experience across Asia and the Middle East, Robinson has built a distinguished career in luxury hotel management. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, where he successfully led the property through a strategic enhancement phase. Prior to that, he managed FCC Angkor by Avani in Siem Reap, Cambodia, overseeing its post-pandemic recovery and relaunch.
Earlier in his career, Robinson held senior leadership positions with Hyatt Hotels, including at Grand Hyatt Doha and Park Hyatt Dubai.
Academic Credentials
Robinson is an alumnus of the International College of Hotel Management, Adelaide, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in international hotel management. He also holds a diploma in international hotel management from the Swiss Hotel Association.
His appointment underscores Minor Hotels’ commitment to strong leadership as Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort embarks on its next chapter of growth and transformation.
