Prior to his appointment at The Westin Chennai Velachery, Mr. Mukherjee served as the General Manager of Le Meridien Kochi, where he spearheaded the transformation of the iconic 223-key legacy hotel, achieving remarkable success through his astute business acumen. Under his leadership, the hotel experienced a resurgence in guest satisfaction and operational efficiency, firmly establishing its position as a premier destination in the hospitality landscape.
Mr. Mukherjee’s journey in the hospitality industry began at the esteemed Goa Marriott Resort, where he quickly ascended the ranks, gaining invaluable experience in F&B operations and overseeing large-scale catering events and fine dining establishments. His career trajectory has seen him contribute his expertise to renowned hotels across India, including Taj Bengal, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Maldives, Taj Palace Hotel New Delhi, Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur, Hilton Bangalore, and Le Meridien properties in Bhutan.
An alumnus of IHM, Goa, Mr. Mukherjee further honed his skills by graduating in PGDMM from the prestigious Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. Known for his enthusiastic leadership style and affable personality, he is deeply passionate about fostering the growth and development of his team members.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Mukherjee is an avid reader and a passionate traveler, with interests ranging from diving and snorkeling to trekking. He will be joined by his wife and two children in Chennai as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.
