Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Aaron Kaupp as the Managing Director of Raffles The Palm Dubai. With an illustrious career spanning various executive positions in luxury hotels, Kaupp brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.
Prior to joining Raffles The Palm Dubai, Kaupp held prestigious positions at renowned hospitality establishments such as Jumeirah Hotels, Raffles Hotels, and Armani Hotels. Notably, he served as the General Manager of Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris, where he garnered invaluable experience in luxury hospitality since 2016. Before his tenure in Paris, Kaupp excelled as the General Manager at Belmond Villa San Michele in Florence and played a pivotal role in the successful opening and management of the Armani Hotel Milano, collaborating closely with Giorgio Armani himself.
Kaupp’s appointment builds upon his distinguished background in luxury hospitality, including his previous role as the Regional Vice President Northern Europe and General Manager of The Carlton Tower Jumeirah. During his tenure at the iconic London hotel, Kaupp led its successful re-opening and repositioning as a modern classic luxury landmark, following an extensive renovation. Despite challenges posed by the pandemic, Kaupp spearheaded the transformation of the 17-story building, introducing larger accommodations, state-of-the-art fitness and spa facilities, renowned dining venues, and exquisite event spaces overlooking the Cadogan gardens.
With a stellar reputation in the industry, Kaupp has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Luxury Travel Advisor Awards’ “Best General Manager of a Luxury Hotel/Resort Worldwide.” Additionally, he is a distinguished member of the European Hotel Managers Association.
