The Westin Maui Resort & Spa Unveils $160 Million Transformation with Debut of Kūkahi Tower and Hana Hou Venue

The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Kāʻanapali, has proudly completed its ambitious $160 million renovation project, culminating in the unveiling of the newly rebranded Kūkahi Tower. Designed to offer guests a serene and revitalizing experience, the Ocean Tower has been transformed into the elegant Kūkahi Tower, set to welcome guests in mid-April 2024.

Kūkahi Tower: A Haven of Tranquility

Stepping into a Kūkahi room, guests will be greeted by a harmonious blend of simplicity and sophistication. Inspired by the natural beauty of Hawai’i, the design features clean lines, rich wood finishes, and a soothing color palette. Each room boasts bespoke artwork, unique textiles, and spacious lanais offering breathtaking ocean views, enhancing the overall experience.

Drawing Inspiration from History

The design narrative of Kūkahi Tower draws inspiration from a historical poem found in the Bishop library, describing the misty mornings of early 1800s Hawai’i. This imagery of light and energy infuses the resort experience with themes of self-discovery and wellness.

Hana Hou by Westin: A Unique Social Hub

Adding to the allure of Kūkahi Tower is the introduction of Hana Hou by Westin, a groundbreaking venue set to redefine entertainment in Hawai’i. Named after the Hawaiian expression for “encore,” Hana Hou offers a 10,000-square-foot social center featuring arcade games, Topgolf Swing Suites, duckpin bowling, virtual reality experiences, and more. Open to both guests and the public, Hana Hou promises an unforgettable blend of tranquility and excitement.

Culinary Delights and More

Complementing the transformation is the arrival of Ulu Kitchen by renowned chef Peter Merriman, offering a culinary journey celebrating the island’s bounty in a stunning oceanfront setting.

Celebratory Package

To mark the debut of Kūkahi and Hana Hou, travelers can take advantage of the exclusive Hana Hou Package, which includes reduced room rates and a $100 game credit per stay. Available for bookings of four nights or more, the package promises an unforgettable island experience starting May 1, 2024.
