Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort Welcomes Prabhash Prabhakaran as Executive Chef

In a significant culinary move, Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort proudly announces the appointment of Prabhash Prabhakaran as its Executive Chef. With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Chef Prabhakaran will now lead the resort’s gastronomic endeavors, overseeing its six restaurants and bars, along with banqueting operations.

Boasting a rich background with some of the world’s most luxurious hospitality brands, Chef Prabhakaran brings a wealth of experience to the emirate’s newest destination resort. Having commenced his career with Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces, he made his mark in the UAE with Jumeirah in 2001. Subsequently, in 2007, he joined the GHM Group, holding senior roles in Muscat and Thailand.

Chef Prabhakaran’s journey with Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas commenced in 2013, where he served as Executive Chef in various properties across Thailand and Sri Lanka. His most recent role was at Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, where he curated some of the world’s most unique culinary concepts, including the world’s first underwater wine cellar and an overwater bar with stargazing.

At Anantara Mina Al Arab, Chef Prabhakaran has introduced two signature concepts. The Beach House offers day-to-night dining with Mediterranean delicacies, crafted cocktails, and DJ beats under the starlit sky. Mekong brings the flavors of Thailand, Vietnam, and China to life, reinterpreted for the modern palate while honoring traditional cooking techniques.

All of the resort’s dining establishments proudly feature locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. From honey harvested onsite in collaboration with locals to Dibba Bay oysters from the north of the UAE, the culinary offerings showcase the region’s finest produce.
