Marriott Bonvoy hosts Charity Gala Dinner with Mumbai Indians to support Empowerment of Individuals and Youth affected by Leprosy.

Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s award-winning travel program celebrates yet another year of their partnership with Mumbai Indians. Marriott Bonvoy hosted a charity gala dinner along with Mumbai Indians for their members, bringing them closer to their sporting idols. Over the last three years, Marriott Bonvoy, the Loyalty Partner for the team has successfully offered numerous unique experiences to their members in India. Throughout this season, members were able to redeem points to enjoy various ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunities, the Cheers for A Cause – Gala Dinner being just one of them.

All members’ points redemptions for this Marriott Bonvoy experience were utilized towards a worthy cause as Marriott Bonvoy made a donation equivalent to the number of points raised towards Rising Star Outreach of India. This NGO supports and uplifts families of those affected by leprosy.  Through this event Marriott Bonvoy was able to raise $16,000 for the NGO.

On the occasion of this event Ranju Alex, Area Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International said “To be able to facilitate this is a huge privilege for us as a brand. The 3-year partnership with Mumbai Indians has been very successful for us. We were thrilled to offer Marriott Bonvoy members an opportunity to dine with their favorite players. The intent behind this partnership was to provide our Marriott Bonvoy members experiences that are unique, special and ‘once in a lifetime’.  We do hope our contribution towards Rising Star Outreach of India supports the upliftment of children and helps prepare them for a bright future. This is an exciting event and what is even more exciting is the overwhelming response we have received from our members!”

In acknowledgment Mr. Prakash Boddu, National General Manager, Rising Star Outreach of India, said, “We thank Marriott for its unconditional support throughout the many years. Without Marriott, the Rising Star Outreach of India is an incomplete family. We help educate approximately 1500 to 2000 children directly or indirectly through their support. We would like to thank the team for their generosity.”

The star-studded event hosted at The St. Regis Mumbai saw the presence of cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Tilak Verma and Zaheer Khan and Marriott Bonvoy members along with the Marriott leadership team. This experience is just one of many hosted by Marriott Bonvoy and Mumbai Indians giving members unrivaled access to the IPL 2022 season.
