The Standard, Maldives Appoints Sonika Adlakha as Commercial Director

The Standard, Maldives has announced the appointment of Sonika Adlakha as Commercial Director. In this role, she will oversee the resort’s sales, marketing, revenue management, and distribution functions, driving strategic growth and strengthening brand presence across key international markets.

With an illustrious career spanning India, Oman, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Macau, Sonika brings a wealth of global experience from leading hospitality brands such as Shangri-La, InterContinental Hotels Group, Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Sun Siyam Resorts, and Outrigger Hospitality Group.

Recognized for her innovative thinking and results-driven leadership, Sonika has successfully helmed multiple pre-opening projects and implemented strategic commercial initiatives that enhanced brand visibility and improved market performance.

Sonika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from M.S. Ramaiah University, Bangalore, and an MBA from the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune.
