Centro Waha by Rotana is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Bassem Samir as its new General Manager.
With over two decades of rich experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Bassem brings a proven track record of leadership, operational excellence, and guest-centric innovation across several renowned hotel brands in the Middle East.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Bassem served as General Manager at Centro Shaheen Jeddah, where he successfully enhanced the property’s commercial performance and strengthened its guest satisfaction scores. His tenure with Rotana reflects his deep understanding of brand values, operational strategy, and people development.
Before joining Rotana, Mr. Bassem spent nearly eight years with Novotel Jeddah, progressing through roles including Hotel Manager, Operations Manager, and Guest Experience Manager. His earlier career features key leadership positions at Novotel Cairo Airport, Mercure Dahab Bay View, Novotel Sharm El Sheikh, and Sofitel Hurghada, where he developed a strong foundation in front office operations, reservations, and guest services.
Beginning his career as a Food and Beverage Trainee at the Nile Hilton in Cairo, Mr. Bassem has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to operational excellence and team empowerment.
Mr. Bassem holds an MBA in Hospitality Management from Accor Académie/IHMP (2018) and a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Helwan University (2001–2004).
In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of Centro Waha by Rotana’s operations, driving strategic growth initiatives and ensuring the brand’s continued reputation for contemporary comfort, exceptional service, and value-driven hospitality in Riyadh’s dynamic market.
