In a strategic strengthening of its leadership team, Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort has appointed Suresh Ferdinandusz as Director of Operations, effective July 2025. With more than two decades of experience in luxury hospitality, Ferdinandusz brings a wealth of operational expertise, culinary leadership, and a strong commitment to delivering world-class guest experiences.
For the past six years, Ferdinandusz has been an integral part of Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, where he was instrumental in elevating the property’s food and beverage operations. His leadership not only enhanced the resort’s culinary reputation but also reinforced Anantara’s hallmark of exceptional service and guest satisfaction. Prior to this, he spent 14 years at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, overseeing a diverse portfolio of restaurant concepts and helping shape the property into a renowned destination for memorable dining.
A native of Sri Lanka, Ferdinandusz began his career in restaurant management after completing formal training with Mclarens Hotel Management Services Ltd, in collaboration with the Ceylon Hotel School and the Sri Lanka Tourism Board. He further strengthened his credentials with a Diploma in Management from Millennium City Academy, UK, alongside specialised certifications in hospitality operations and food hygiene.
Known for his dynamic leadership and pragmatic approach, Ferdinandusz has built a distinguished career defined by operational excellence, innovation, and an ability to inspire high-performing teams. His philosophy of adaptability, hands-on presence, and guest-centricity has consistently delivered outstanding results across all facets of operations.
