JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru Appoints Rohan Malwankar as Executive Chef

JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru is proud to announce the appointment of Chef Rohan Malwankar as its new Executive Chef. With over 14 years of distinguished culinary experience across marquee Marriott International hotels, Chef Rohan is celebrated for his ingredient-led philosophy, modern sensibilities, and ability to create dining experiences that balance authenticity with innovation.

Since beginning his journey with Marriott International in 2007, Chef Rohan has been instrumental in shaping the culinary identity of several iconic properties, including The St. Regis Mumbai, JW Marriott Mumbai, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, and Courtyard by Marriott Hebbal, Bengaluru. Most recently, he helmed the kitchens at Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel as Executive Chef, where he successfully led pre- and post-opening culinary strategy, crafted forward-thinking menus, and enhanced guest experiences through regional storytelling on the plate.

Renowned for his dynamic leadership, Chef Rohan has curated high-profile events such as celebrity weddings and large-format galas, in addition to contributing to prestigious pre-opening task forces across India and Sri Lanka. His career has been defined by a balance of operational excellence and creative ingenuity, earning him 10 distinguished career awards in recognition of his contributions to guest satisfaction, business growth, and community engagement.

In his new role at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, Chef Rohan will oversee all culinary operations, including the hotel’s award-winning restaurants—Bengaluru Baking Company, Alba, Spice Terrace, JW Kitchen, Merak Brewhouse, and UNO Izakaya—as well as in-room dining and banqueting. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and culinary excellence, he is set to further elevate the hotel’s dining experiences while reinforcing the brand’s reputation for luxury and quality.
