Fares Karam appointed Front Office Manager at Meliã Desert Palm Dubai.
Meliã Desert Palm Dubai has appointed Fares Karam as front office manager for the 160-acre estate.
With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, specialising in both front office and the rooms division, he will moves to the polo resort from Doha.
“We’re delighted to welcome Fares to our team and bring his experience to the sandy shores of Dubai. We have a busy year ahead and look forward to working with him to make it a successful one,” said the hotel's general manager Nathalie Cockayne.
Karam started his career as a front desk trainee in 2005 at Casino Du Lac, Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to his latest role, he was business relation manager at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Doha, Qatar.
Announcing his appointment, the Desert Palm property said his expertise lies in guest satisfaction, complaint handling and nurturing relationships with guests and clients.
Karam holds a BA in Hospitality Management from the Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland and he is fluent in Arabic, French and English.
The Barcelona fan and enjoys watching and playing football as well as travelling. In his spare time, he experiments with new recipes in the kitchen and loves cats.
