Nikolaos Tsimidakis appointed as Complex Executive Chef for two Shangri-La properties in Abu Dhabi
Shangri-La has announced a new executive chef for two of its properties in Abu Dhabi. Nikolaos Tsimidakis now steps up to lead the brigades at Shangri-La Hotel and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri.
He joins the two properties from Shangri-La Dubai, where he executive chef for almost two years, in charge of six F&B venues, in-room dining and banqueting. While at the Sheikh Zayed Road property, he spearheaded menu development, revenue management and various re-brandings.
Now in the UAE capital, he will don the chef whites for a total of nine F&B outlets, including in-room dining and banqueting across both.

We are enthusiastic about the new tastes and the creativity that chef Nikolaos will add to our gastronomic experience and cannot wait for everyone to experience his new creations.”
The chef brings 26 years of experience to the plate, having worked across the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, United States and Canada, as well as the Middle East and Europe.
Prior to joining Shangri-La, he was the cluster executive sous chef for IHG’s cluster of properties in Dubai Festival City.
