Yann Bernard Lejard appointed as Director of culinary and F&B at Ritz Carlton Bahrain.
Yann Bernard Lejard will now lead a culinary and F&B team of 220, working across 12 venues to keep the hotel’s food offerings at the forefront of people’s minds in Bahrain.
These venues include all-day dining outlet La Table Krug by Y; modern steakhouse Plums; Mexican restaurant Cantina Kahlo; Primavera (serving Italian cuisine); La Med; Indian restaurant Nirvana; The Burlington Club; the Thai pool bar; an Arabian venue and two lounge venues.
“Lejard is a master of art and an icon in the food scenario with a vast following on social media. His hands on leadership of the entire kitchen brigade, made it a natural choice to elevate him into this important role, becoming the Director of Culinary, of the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain. Yann considers cooking to be a creative act, and has the intention to elevate the discipline of service to compliment food to the level of art. Yann always challenges uniformity and creates the food of tomorrow, driven by his inner fire,” said general manager Bernard de Villèle.
French national Lejard stepped into the hotel in 2014 as the chef de cuisine, later proving he could handle the heat, Lejard was made executive sous chef, then executive chef before moving into his new role.
