Vasileios Oikonomopoulos appointed as GM at Mondrian Doha
The Mondrian hotel in Qatar capital Doha has welcomed a new general manager to lead the property.
Vasileios Oikonomopoulos will lead the property’s operations and execute long-term strategies around the hotel’s diversification towards more clientele. As GM he will also work with the rest of the leadership team to foster strong partnerships; in a wider sense, he’s tasked with making it one of the world’s leading lifestyle hotels.
Part of sbe, Mondrian is one of the city’s most striking hotels, with vibrant interiors and bold uses of colour and materials.

Oikonomopoulos joins from South Korea, where he led the opening of Mondrian Seoul Itaewon. Prior to that he has worked across the industry, including stints Shangri-La, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Starwood, Sofitel and Hilton, the majority of which was spent in managerial F&B roles.
