Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort appoints Nawfal Abdullah Mbamba as new Marcomm Manager
Nawfal Abdullah Mbamba will be responsible for driving recognition of the destination on an international level
Five-star property Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort has named Nawfal Abdullah Mbamba as its new marketing and communications manager, a promotion for the young hotelier who has been trained within the brand.
Born in Dubai, Mbamba received his tourism management degree from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. With Omani and Zanzibari heritage, Mbamba’s first role was at Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara as a management trainee in 2017.
With a knack for learning languages and a passion for people and tourism, he rose the ranks of the luxury Minor Group brand, being made marketing executive, followed by assistant manager marketing communications in the Sultanate.
His new role on Dubai’s Palm island is his most senior to date, now being entrusted with driving the promotion of the resort, brand and destination on an international scale.
He said: “I am beyond thrilled to progress my learning journey with Anantara in my vibrant city of birth that has so much to offer.”
In a statement, the hotel said: “Nawfal’s strive for excellence in the field of creating engaging digital content as well as interacting with media are a key component to his passion for marketing. He says that he has a newfound energy for his new role.”
