Rikhsibay Tursunov appointed as Dir Ops at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina
Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina has promoted its EAM to the position of operations director after exceling in his role for almost two years.
Rikhsibay Tursunov has been with the property since its pre-opening phase and has been described by the GM at “pivotal” for the hotel’s operations and F&B success. In his new role, he will take on all operational functions of the property, helping streamline operations and ensuring the hotel is hitting market demands. He will also have a hand in guest experience, quality of service, hotel efficiency and risk mitigation.
“Please join me in congratulating Rikhi for his well-deserved growth and extend your usual support as he launches into his new role,” said GM Tamara Salha.
Tursunov has been in the industry for more than 25 years, with much of that time spent within IHG. One of his earliest positions was in 1996, where he worked in the F&B department for IHG in Uzbekistan. In 2003, he moved to Abu Dhabi as assistant restaurant manager of InterContinental in the area, before becoming director of catering and convention services for Crowne Plaza in Dubai.
Following a seven year stint with Jumeirah where he served as assistant food and beverage manager and then assistant director of conference and events, he moved back to IHG as EAM.
Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina swung open its doors at the start of 2020 after years of work. The five-star hotel features 273 hotel rooms, including 61 club rooms and 32 suites. The hotel offers facilities for MICE travellers such as meeting and conference rooms, all fitted with audio-visual technology.
Salha meanwhile joined the hotel in September 2020, having already been in IHG since 2000.
