Dubai's Renaissance Downtown hotel to reflag as a luxury St. Regis
The St. Regis Downtown Dubai will bring with it its signature butler service and sophisticated interiors
Marriott International has announced that it will reflag the Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai by the end of this year, turning it into The St. Regis Downtown Dubai.
Intending to “amply its luxury presence,” the group signed a new agreement with RDK Tourism Investment LLC, Renaissance Downtown’s developers, to transform the property.
“We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with RDK Tourism Investment with this milestone project,” said Jerome Briet, chief development officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International.
“St. Regis delivers exquisite experiences and anticipatory service in some of the most desirable locations around the world. With this addition, the brand will arrive at one of the finest addresses in Downtown Dubai, which is home to the city’s most iconic landmarks. The St. Regis Downtown Dubai is set to offer unparalleled luxury, bespoke service and modern glamour for leisure and business travellers alike.”
St. Regis is one of the group’s most luxurious brands, with the new property set to receive its own butler service, renovations across its lobby, and a new Astor Ballroom. This ballroom will help cement the hotel as a go-to destination for iconic celebrations, said Marriott. While the new interiors will create a more residential feel for guests.
“We look forward to building on our relationship with Marriott International to further expand our hospitality portfolio in the region,” said Rashid Darwish Ahmed Saif Al Ketbi, chairman of RDK Group.
“As a company we remain committed to positively contributing to the local economic development by continuing to invest and develop landmark projects that offer the highest standards of quality and international standards," he added.
It will be the fourth St. Regis in the UAE, joining The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi and The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm, set to open next month.
