Sophie Latapie appointed as Cluster Director of Communications At Rosewood Mayakoba and Rosewood San Miguel de Allende in Riviera Maya, Mexico
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced that Sophie Latapie has been appointed as Cluster Director of Communications for Rosewood Mayakoba and Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. In her new role, Latapie will be responsible for spearheading the strategic direction, initiatives, planning, coordination, and management of both property's integrated public relations and communications. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Rosewood Mayakoba and the Director of Sales and Marketing for Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, she will oversee media relations and create and communicate the hotel's messages and ensure overall continuity of hotel brand consistency and image.
Latapie was most recently the Communications and Marketing Manager for the West Coast properties of Soho House & Co, a collection of members' clubs, restaurants, hotels and cinemas, catering to those in the film, media, fashion and creative industries. She held that position since 2018 during which time, Latapie oversaw all internal and external communication and marketing efforts, social media, and partnerships for the brand's four regional locations including Soho House West Hollywood, Little Beach House Malibu, Cecconi's and Soho Warehouse in downtown Los Angeles.
Prior to her tenure at Soho House & Co, Latapie spent eight years working at award-winning public relations agencies in New York, Austin, and Los Angeles representing a broad spectrum of clients in the Food & Beverage category including celebrity chefs, restaurant groups, spirits brands, luxury food products, and culinary festivals. Latapie is a graduate of The University of Delaware, where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Journalism, International Relations, and French. She will be based in the Los Angeles office of the company.
