This diverse&nbsp;cuisine&nbsp;spans Afghani, Pakistani, Kashmiri, Persian, Punjabi, Awadhi, Lucknowi and Bengali&nbsp;dishes and is celebrated as a heritage from the yester years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nostalgic favourites include <em>Miskin Nehari, Taftan, Taftoon Harissa,<\/em> <em>Galouti Kebab, Heeng Mattar Ki Tikki, Peshawari Khumb Bahar, Gosht Do Pyaza, Chooza Khaas Makhani, &nbsp;Jhinga Zaafran, Murgh Burrah, Gosht Gola Kebab, Lahori Masala Murgh, Bharwan Bhindi Do Pyaza, Khumb Mattar Makhana, Soya Chaap Rara Masala, Ghiya Mussalam, Sag Paita, Kunni Dal, Nawabi Tarkari Biryani, Dum Pukht Gosht Biryani, Sindhi Macchli Tikka, &nbsp;Bakarkhwani, Laal Kulcha <\/em>and Shufta<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The route spanning the Grand Trunk road, started in reign of Chandragupta Maurya, and was rebuilt by Sher Shah Suri, who renovated and extended the ancient Mauryan road in the 16th century.
